Technical Specifications
ISP Kenya currently takes a 2MB line from Jambonet, Telkom Kenya's Internet Division. We also operate a satellite downlink service with Teleglobe and have a circuit that is currently running with a 6MB committed information rate. ISP Kenya is also one of Kenya's leading web services solutions providers, with a dedicated team ensuring that clients receive the best and most reliable domain registration, web hosting and domain-based e-mail services.

Security
With the dawning of a new era of online banking, booking and personal services, security has come to the forefront for the success of all ISPs, and is one of ISP Kenya's top priorities. Security is enforced through the implementation of strong password encryption in critical areas; access lists to control areas of access; and firewalls where necessary. ISP Kenya databases run on a variety of platforms including Sun Solaris, Windows NT and Linux. These databases consist of a variety of flat file systems as well as high-end, relational databases. ISP Kenya operates a Cisco routing and switching network.
