Domain Name Registration
In order to have a proper presence on the Internet, it is necessary for corporate entities to register domain names, and to have e-mail and websites hosted under these domain names. Doing this confers several advantages:

1. A domain name clearly identifies the company from which e-mail originates, or whose website is being visited. This promotes visibility of the company name and/or brand.
2. Having a domain name, and e-mail configured at this domain name, ensures that more people within the corporation are able to have individual email addresses. These can be in the format name@domain.com, or jobtitle@domain.com.
3. Domain names, and e-mails configured at these domain names, ensure that one is not restricted when they want to change service providers. When your e-mail address is at your ISP, then it means that every time you change your ISP, you have to change your e-mail address, with the attendant costs and inconvenience.
4. Once your domain name is registered, it is yours for life. As long as you continue renewing the domain name every time it is due, you cannot lose it

If your domain name is registered with another service provider, you will need to transfer it to ISP Kenya so that we can provide you with other services such as domain e-mail and web hosting

Our Linux server is located in Texas, in the United States. It offers the advantage of stability, and the ability to host sites desiged using different software. One can also use remote FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to upload and download files, and thus update their website, 24/7.

Windows
Our Windows server is located at our HQ in Westlands, Nairobi. Its major advantages are that it can host sites developed specifically for the Windows platform, including software such as MS ASP. Frontpage extensions, and MS SQL. It also enables viewers within Kenya get the site deployed much faster, as the data would go through the Kenya Internet Exchange Point (KIXP).

Pricing
Our pricing is size-based, as opposed to being based on traffic or the amount of transfers that you do. This means that you will not be penalised for the popularity of your site, or for the fact that you need to keep it as up to date as much as possible.
